Principle of energy saving
1). Utilizing high-performance rare earth permanent magnets, the rotor of the synchronous motor generates a fixed magnetic field, powered by permanent magnets and current. The stator's rotating magnetic field propels the rotor magnetic field, achieving synchronization without the need for excitation current or winding, thus guaranteeing high energy efficiency.
2). In contrast, asynchronous motors rely on induced current generated by the stator's rotating magnetic field to produce electromagnetic torque, resulting in a rotor speed that must lag the synchronous speed.
3). With a power density approximately 30% higher than that of equivalent asynchronous motors, permanent magnet motors excel in efficiency. They are 1-2 frame sizes smaller than asynchronous motors of the same power, leading to reduced iron and mechanical losses due to their compact size.
4). The Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor (PMSM) offers superior efficiency compared to asynchronous motors of identical power ratings, extending its high-efficiency performance over a broader operational range. When operating within 25%-100% of its rated speed, the PMSM consistently maintains a high-efficiency status. In contrast, the asynchronous motor experiences a significant efficiency decline when its speed falls below 70% of the rated speed.
