2). On the contrary, asynchronous motors depend on the induced current produced in the rotor by the stator's rotating magnetic field to generate electromagnetic torque, which results in the rotor operating below synchronous speed.
3). Permanent magnet motors offer a power density approximately 30% greater than asynchronous motors of equivalent power. Consequently, motors of the same power output are 1-2 frame sizes smaller, reducing iron and mechanical losses significantly.
