Principle of Energy Saving
1). By employing high-performance rare earth permanent magnet materials, the rotor generates a consistent magnetic field, driven by the stator's rotating magnetic field. This ensures that the rotor speed matches the synchronous speed without the need for excitation current or windings, thereby maximizing energy efficiency.
2). In contrast, asynchronous motors generate induced current in the rotor through the stator's rotating magnetic field to produce electromagnetic torque, resulting in a rotor speed that is lower than the synchronous speed.
3). Permanent magnet motors offer a power density approximately 30% higher than asynchronous motors of equivalent power, allowing for a reduction of 1-2 frame sizes. This reduction in size leads to decreased iron and mechanical losses.
4). The permanent magnet synchronous motor boasts superior efficiency compared to its asynchronous counterparts of equal power. Its expansive high-efficiency zone is a defining feature. Operating within a speed range of 25% to 100% of the rated speed, this motor consistently maintains its position in the high-efficiency zone. On the other hand, an asynchronous motor experiences a dramatic drop in efficiency when the speed falls below 70% of the rated speed.
